We are currently recruiting for a detail orientated, process and quality focused team player who is self-motivated and goal driven to fill the position of Cellar Hand based out of our Oliver, BC Production Facility / Jackson-Triggs Winery.

The Jackson-Triggs Winery is a full-service operation from harvest through to final distribution; operating year-round and producing some of the industry’s most awarded wines. Our organization emphasizes a collaborative working environment, offering the systems and structure to support our continued growth and employment opportunities.

The Role:

This role is responsible for performing all cellar related activities as part of the winemaking process and vintage.  Work tickets to be completed to maintain bottling schedule as required.  Transfer of incoming bulk wine and processing to bottle.

What you'll be doing:

  • Safely operate all cellar equipment by adhering to all Health and Safety guidelines and lockouts as required    25%
  • Accurately weigh ingredients and make additions to wines.    25%
  • Assist other positions as required to maintain continuous production    5%
  • Communicate relevant information to winemakers and to the cross shift    25%
  • Perform inventories, ingredient collection and put away, lift truck inspections, and complete paperwork and update lot codes as required.      20%

Working conditions

  • Working outside in different weather conditions
  • Three shift rotational work may be required
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime as required
  • This position may require physical effort which entails lifting and moving up to and including 50lbs
  • Able to work at heights (catwalk)

Compensation: $23/hour
