Category Lead - Vaccine

Saudi Arabia - Riyadh Full time

Responsible for commercial operations, P&L management and policy implementation of the Vaccines Business. Responsibilities include development of strategies to increase revenues, maximize profitability, acquire market share, develop stakeholder strategy, build customer loyalty and an innovation culture in the Vx Unit, develop and lead a high performing team

Key areas of focus include but are not limited to the following:

  • Broaden COMIRNATY access in public and private market.
  • Boost Prevenar NIP’s and ensure PCV20 bridge, Broaden Adult Vx in both Private and Public segment.
  • Prepare Saudi for new Vx assets ( Abysvo..etc)

These goals will be attained by strong internal external stakeholder engagement and partnership. The development of market insights/strategies as well as the digitalization of the business will be critical to the units’ success. Objectives will be developed for each product group to seize opportunities, gain market share, maximize resources and manage the P&L as a part of the Pfizer Saudi objectives.

Together with the Leadership Team (LT), the incumbent will be a key contributor to the entire organization as we inspire a culture of innovation by providing empowerment through clear expectations and frameworks to execute customer centric solutions and improve our internal processes. We will operate with the highest level of integrity and hold our teams accountable for leading a thoughtful risk-taking process.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long term vision for Pfizer Saudi in the Vaccine category focused on new asset launches, growth with optimized resource, and ensure leadership buy-in and colleague engagement  

Develops strategies unique to the needs of the Vaccine category to maximize the patient impact and the revenue for Pfizer.

Drive innovative business strategies and models to maximize revenue, market share, and profitable growth.

Optimizes the profitability of the category by making active trade-off and resource allocation decisions.

Drives execution of campaigns, PoAs, tactics and customer plans.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams to execute patient-centered strategies, ensuring operational excellence and alignment across functions and departments.

Collaboration with Regional/Global Teams: Partner with EM and International Commercial Office teams to align Saudi strategies with broader organizational strategies.

Leads and coaches a high performing team and develops colleagues in line with the Pfizer transformational mindset (agility, experimentation, digital, partnerships, shape the environment)

Reviews, designs and monitors the effectiveness of the Sales Team through KPIs Ensures high standards of compliance to norms, policies, and procedures and instills a proactive compliance risk management culture throughout his/her direct team and the x-functional organization.

Assure the commercial profitability of the sales to major accounts upon the definition and establishing a pricing policy that guarantees the results and uphold the competitiveness of the products and client loyalty.

Assure the viability of the Category’s budget, upon the management of the sales resources and volumes, defining performance targets, objectives, and indicators for the commercial area under your responsibility.

Role models Pfizer values and culture with visible and inspirational leadership focused on compliance and integrity.

 Engages high profile external stakeholders (Gov’t officials, Institutions, Advocacy, etc) as needed to help partner on access to our innovative medicines

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, (MBA preferred).
  • Therapeutic Area knowledge preferred 
  • 10+ years of experience, with 5+ years in commercial roles within pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience in people management (direct responsibility).
  • Proficiency in English.
  • P&L Management and Financial acumen
