$21.45 - $32.20Key Responsibilities
Assist RNs with daily patient care including hygiene, repositioning, ambulation, feeding, and general cleaning.
Perform and document vital signs, intake/output, daily weights, and other patient data.
Independently carry out advanced care tasks such as:
Arterial sheath removal
Bladder scanning
Foley catheter insertion/removal
Arterial blood draws and ACT testing
IV insertion, site care, and removal (peripheral)
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
12-lead EKGs and phlebotomy
Monitor patient status and promptly report changes or concerns to the RN.
Assist with admissions, discharges, post-mortem care, and patient transport.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
CNA (WI registry)
1-2 years of CNA experience in the acute setting
Skills & Competencies:
Completion of telemetry education and competency within 6 months of hire.
Completion of unit-based clinical training for interventional procedures within 6 months of hire.
