The Opportunity

The Cadet Engineer will learn and contribute to the processes that sustain and improve our high-volume manufacturing operations, focusing on yield enhancement, quality assurance, and cost-effectiveness. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a successful career in the semiconductor industry.

What You Will Do

  • Manufacturing & Production Support. Assist Manufacturing Product Engineers in monitoring production line performance, including yield, quality, and efficiency metrics, Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data (e.g., test data, process parameters) to identify trends and potential issues, Provide technical support for production activities, helping to ensure smooth and continuous manufacturing flow.
  • Learning & Skill Development. Actively participate in a structured training and mentorship program to develop a strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, from wafer probe to final test and assembly, Learn and apply fundamental concepts of yield analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and root cause analysis, Develop proficiency in using Allegro's manufacturing systems and data analysis tools.
  • Process Improvement & Yield Enhancement. Assist in basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis for manufacturing process deviations and yield issues, Support engineers in the implementation of corrective actions and process improvements, Contribute to projects aimed at improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.
  • Documentation & Reporting. Maintain accurate records of manufacturing data, test results, and process observations, Assist in preparing reports and presentations on yield performance, manufacturing trends, and project status for the engineering team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work collaboratively with Operations, Test Engineering, Assembly Engineering, and Quality teams to support shared manufacturing goals. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth execution of assigned tasks and projects.

What You Will Bring

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Communications Engineering (BS ECE).
  • Experience: Entry-level position. Open to fresh graduates. Relevant internships or academic projects in a manufacturing or electronics environment are a plus.
  • Technical Skills. Foundational understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing concepts. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) for data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with statistical concepts and data analysis tools is an advantage. Basic understanding of semiconductor devices and processes is desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Strong eagerness to learn, a proactive attitude, and a high level of curiosity. Excellent problem-solving aptitude and meticulous attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, global team. Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
