What You Will Do
- Product Development Support: Assist Product Engineers in the execution of test plans and characterization procedures for new IC products and evaluation boards.Perform basic electrical tests using standard lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, function generators).Collect, organize, and present test data accurately for engineer review and analysis.Support the setup and maintenance of lab equipment and test benches.
- Learning & Skill Development: Actively participate in training and mentorship programs to develop a strong understanding of semiconductor product development lifecycle, test methodologies, and Allegro's product portfolio. Learn to interpret circuit diagrams, datasheets, and technical specifications. Develop proficiency in relevant software tools for data analysis and test automation.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging Assistance: Assist engineers in basic troubleshooting and debugging of test setups, hardware, and minor IC issues. Document observations and findings during testing and debugging processes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of test activities, results, and observations. Assist in drafting and updating test instructions, procedures, and basic technical documentation. Provide clear and concise verbal and written updates on assigned tasks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Product Engineers, Design Engineers, and Test Engineers within the DPE team and across other functions. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
What You Will Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Communications Engineering (BS ECE).
- Experience: Entry-level position. Open to fresh graduates. Relevant internships or academic projects in a manufacturing or electronics environment are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles and circuit theory. Basic knowledge of semiconductor devices and their operation. Ability to operate standard lab equipment (e.g., DMM, oscilloscope). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW) or data analysis tools is an advantage.
- Soft Skills: Strong eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.Excellent problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.Curiosity and a passion for technology and innovation.
