The expected salary range for this position is $58,870.00 - $71,590.40. Employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States (such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA) may qualify for a geographic differential. Overview

This intermediate specialist of Field Experiences will provide a professional level of operation, analysis, and administration in one or more various disciplines. The specialist generally works independently in areas such as budget preparation and tracking, process management, communications and change, program implementation, project management, development, data research, analysis, business intelligence, business operation, and tracking, and/or information management. The incumbent may accomplish any or all of the essential functions, or other professional duties of a professional administrative nature, including recommending or making improvements to significant processes and practices. At this career level, the incumbent generally works independently on moderately complex projects or as a team member on larger projects and processes.

The specialist will help manage Cvent events, reporting, analysis, access portals, meeting request forms and other backend functions of this highly utilized platform. This position will help manage back-end functions of vendors who specialize in background checks and visa processing, as well as collaborating with various teams across the ministry such as legal, finance, security, etc.

What will you do?

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.

  • Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.

  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.

  • Reviews business processes and identifies activities required to address the issues, including process steps and impact assessment to increase productivity and efficiency. Prepares supporting documentation such as presentations, future state maps, and business requirements. Makes improvements or recommends improvements to processes and activities. Creates processes to aid business operations.

  • Contributes to the department budget and tracks expenditures and variances to keep the department in budget. Informs management of variances and corrective recommendations. Contributes to tracking expenses and closeouts for Field Experiences. Tracks down cost centers for various expenses being processed for Field Experiences.

  • Gathers basic business data such as project costs or process metrics, analyzes the information, and presents reports based on this analysis. Serves as a project manager for small to medium-sized projects to maintain progress toward established goals and deadlines.

  • Creates and pulls reports from Cvent in order to provide accurate data analysis for Field Experiences.

  • May perform or support department specific duties sometimes related to other job subfamilies such as, marketing plans, data analysis, basic procurement, field experiences, basic human resources, basic accounting, store administration, simple facilities requests, and/or program development.

  • This person will help monitor internal and external communication as it pertains to all trips and/or the planning of Field Experiences. Managing trip requests and inquiries will also be a vital part of this Field Experience role.

  • Prepares and relays communications concerning business operations and outcomes to appropriate audiences to foster understanding and acceptance for initiatives, policies, and practices. Further, supports change integration across projects within the scope of own work. Works to identify change adoption across common audiences as needed.

  • Trains and advises stakeholders on processes and guidelines related to the group or program projects. May liaise between assigned department and other neighbors.

  • Provides meaningful input into the development of effective metrics for ministry operations and maintains data/metrics, dashboards, tools, and artifacts to provide up-to-date status of group projects, processes, and initiatives.

  • May develop or contribute to new programs to improve neighbor morale or relations, ministry success, and community stewardship.

  • Partners with other groups when required to integrate information and processes across functions. Provides individual contributions and occasional support to various projects as assigned in support of the work of Business Support management.

  • The incumbent may provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in their work group.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent education, experience, training, and/or certification

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Excel for reporting, data merging, etc.

  • Experience using an events registration software or CRM tool.

  • Technical fluency; ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Highly organized and efficient work ethic.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.

  • Strong communication capabilities and the willingness to engage with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Proactive approach and independent work style; ability to navigate ambiguity to solve problems and execute complex tasks with minimal oversight.

  • Ability to travel up to two weeks a year domestically and one week a year internationally.
