Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the acquisitions, asset management and capital market teams across Real Estate, Private Equity and Tactical Opportunities Funds on deal execution support, deal onboarding, and post-closing deal management of portfolio companies and JV partners

  • Assist in the engagement with due diligence (e.g. Financial) advisors and review of due diligence reports, findings and recommendations

  • Review transaction and financing documents (e.g. SPA, Term Sheets, Escrow Agreements, Debt Facility Agreements) for acquisition, disposition and financing activities

  • Manage the establishment of Investment Structure’s (SPV’s) and prepare funds flow files for deal closing (acquisition and dispositions), including coordination with Treasury teams on fund transfers and FX settlement

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes of portfolios such as reviewing monthly management accounts, quarterly cash and net asset value reports and annual financial statements

  • Work closely with various teams across Asia and New York on funding coordination (line of credit, capital call, distributions)

  • Liaise and coordinate on audits with service providers and auditors

  • Ah hoc tasks, analyses and projects as and when required

Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant with 5 to 6 of experience, ideally including time in a Big Four accounting firm or financial institution. Candidates with more experience may be considered at the AVP level.

  • Experience with transactions advisory / execution support is highly regarded

  • Experience in the funds, asset management or private equity industries a pre-requisite  

  • Regional Asia-Pacific experience (China, India, Korea, Australia, Korea, Singapore, Japan) is highly regarded

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with fast and exact data processing skills

  • Effective communication across various functions and offices globally and hence possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills in verbal and written English is a must

  • Highly professional/institutional and self-motivated and able to effectively work as an individual contributor and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and able to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines

  • A desire to work in an international team environment requiring global coordination between offices, often under pressure and with multiple stakeholders

  • Quick learner with the ability to quickly turnaround ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced environment

  • Must operate with the highest level of integrity

  • Overseas working experiences is a highly regarded

  • Fluency in English is a must and 2nd Asian language highly regarded
