We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to join our team as the Business Development Vice President.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Business Development Vice President for bswift is responsible for selling bswift enrollment technology and benefits administration products and services to prospective customers. This position focuses on bswift’s Channel Partner distribution and entails soliciting prospects to license and distribute bswift as independent businesses. The Business Development Vice President may work with insurance brokers/consultants, insurance companies, payroll companies, associations, and various third-party administrators with clientele that may span small, middle, and large group market segments.

They will be active in their assigned area of focus to prospect, build relationships, drive lead generation, and close sales to meet established annual sales targets.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR (Essential Functions)

  • Represent bswift technology and benefits administration products and services to prospective channel partner distributors.
  • Cultivate productive and influential relationships with channel partners, prospects, and consultants/brokers.
  • Establish prospect sales strategies and lead RFP responses.
  • Lead internal team meeting preparation for external sales efforts and all stages of prospect meetings.
  • Develop and execute assigned vertical sales/growth strategy; proactively prospect in assigned area of focus.
  • Establish a market presence by participating in select market forums, collaborating with bswift peers, and cultivating market relationships.
  • Negotiate initial sales contracts and letters of intent through execution.
  • Manage complex negotiations and position products, rate levels, and expanded product portfolios to increase sales and maximize revenue.
  • Identify various ways to partner with channel partners by leveraging bswift’s full product and service portfolio.
  • Gain a deep understanding of channel partner prospects’ multifaceted needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of channel partner prospects.
  • Provide effective presentations to all external and internal constituents.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Required Education and Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets within the benefits administration, HR technology, or insurance industries.
  • Demonstrated success in channel partner or indirect distribution sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute complex sales cycles.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

 

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Education and Experience)

  • Experience working with insurance carriers, payroll companies, associations, or TPAs.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration platforms and technology solutions.
  • Established relationships within the benefits consulting and brokerage community.

Specific benefit offerings vary by position and may be subject to change.

 

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description. 

 

 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $130,000-$165,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.  If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
