The Shared Service Technology team is a full lifecycle development team supporting Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Corporate Real Estate, and more. The Business Analyst role will focus on multiple projects aligned with KeyBank's corporate initiatives, initially focused on a high-priority project within Human Resources Technology. Working closely with a Technical Lead, the Business Analyst will bridge line of business needs with technical solutions. Key responsibilities include identifying and documenting critical path requirements, breaking-down high-level requirements into detailed technical requirements, converting requirements into tangible test cases, and leading pass/fail testing efforts. Additional responsibilities will encompass identifying and countering project scope deviation, creating traceability matrix documentation, identifying and raising risks, adhering to project deadlines, participating in off-hours activities, and working collaboratively to drive work to completion.
Essential Business Analyst Job Functions:
- Facilitate and lead high priority meetings with stakeholders at all levels. Explain how requirements will be tested. Build and review test cases with key stakeholders to maintain transparency and minimize the potential for missed requirements.
- Actively listen and engage key stakeholders, identify and document critical path requirements, ensure alignment with business and technical needs essential for successful project delivery.
- Reference agreed-upon requirements and effectively address scope deviations not initially approved, preventing potential project timeline impacts.
- Collaborate with Technical Lead and Project Manager, to communicate technology functionality and limitations with the line of business (LOB), ensuring the LOB is in step with what technical actions will be executed and expected results.
- Break-down high-level functional and non-functional requirements into detailed requirements, convert requirements into tangible test cases, and lead pass/fail testing efforts.
- Create and maintain a traceability matrix to ensure a clear alignment between requirements, test cases and LOB sign-off.
- Collaborate with Technical Lead to develop a high-level understanding of the network infrastructure and various integration points of the applications within scope.
- Leverage leadership team to facilitate necessary support and resources for rapid learning and development, enabling you to quickly get up to speed and contribute effectively.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with continuously shifting priorities, focusing on prioritizing tasks without distractions while consistently driving assigned work to completion within deadlines.
- Identify and escalate risks, potential risks and/or anything with the potential to impact project timeline.
- Work collaboratively as part of a self-managed team, supporting off-hours testing and releases when required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role with proven success delivering projects in excess of $500k.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Jira as part of an Agile/Kanban team.
- Understanding of Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, Legal and Corporate Real Estate domains, related applications and Workday modules.
- Experience working with data tables and systems of record within a heavily integrated environment.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $61,000.00 - $94,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
