The purpose of the Building and Property Services Lead (Terminal Lead) is to support the Terminal in its day-to-day operation. Your goal will be to maintaining a safe and organized environment for all staff to work in. This will include coordinating and managing contractors and ensuring all necessary repairs are made in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Support with yard maintenance. This will include garbage cleanup, yard lighting, gate maintenance & trouble shooting, snow/ice removal and winter preparation.
 - Support with office and building maintenance. This will include maintaining and periodic test of all fire monitoring equipment, change out ceiling tiles, maintaining lighting and general repairs/installation of office equipment.
 - Work with vendors to ensure safe operations in a cost-effective manner.
 - Maintain a high level of security of the terminal supporting Birds Eye.
 - Support Bison Transport policies and procedures by engaging in the resolution of any safety concerns.
 - Liaison between Maintenance Coordinators, Dock Coordinators, Shop Manager & Dock Manager.
 - Participate and make necessary repairs from all inspections.
 - Miscellaneous duties as assigned/required.
 
Our Ideal Candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in facility and property maintenance, including basic repairs and upkeep. 
 - Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams such as Maintenance Coordinators and Dock Team Members. 
 - Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. 
 - Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive working relationships across departments. 
 - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. 
 - Adaptable and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. 
 - Physically able to perform manual labor and outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions. 
 - Forklift training or certification is considered an asset. 
 - First Aid certification is considered an asset.
 
This position is subject to a Monday to Friday schedule working an 8 hour shift.
