Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Billing Supervisor is responsible for documenting and implementing billing related processes for ParaMed. The goal is to have formal documentation of both billing processes for various contract streams and ensure alignment with both Finance and Operations. A key outcome will be ensuring a streamlined decision point around processes.
The successful candidate will bring critical thinking, attention to detail, and a strong drive to learn while supporting our culture of care across Canada.
This position will be located between our Head Office in Markham with weekly travel to Mississauga. Extendicare offers a hybrid work model.
Key responsibilities include:
Building strong rapport with facility level Managers/Operational Directors/Leadership team
Document all processes that impact the billing function for Homecare side of the business
Identify potential risk areas and maintain timelines
Work with cross functional teams SME’s to identify interdependencies between teams
Complete timely project analysis and reporting to ensure visibility to risk areas
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable function, ensuring timely updates are provided
Support development of quality project documentation
Work closely with AlayaCare platform leads on integration related items for Finance Billings
Preparation of monthly reports for Finance & Operational leads
Lead billings teams as required to support Accounts Receivable function
Work with L&D and Integration team on roll out of training and policies/procedures
Complete other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-volume accounts receivable or collections environment.
Experience with provincial legislation and collections process.
Proficiency in MS with advanced level of Excel.
Experience using AlayaCare is an asset;
Experience within a Homecare environment would be an asset.
