JOB SUMMARY

The Relationship Manager’s primary responsibilities are to, within JLG’s & JerrDan’s (“JLG”) captive finance company, provide financial solutions to JLG’s customers in the Caribbean, Latin & South America.   Build out of a network of lenders in those territories to support the financial solutions. Support of JLG’s sales team and sales efforts, while driving for profitable revenue growth, training JLG Sales personnel on financing solutions and mitigating risk associated with customer financing through effective structuring of customer finance transactions through a network of third-party funders.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Develop and maintain a sustainable relationship with:
    • JLG’s regional sales teams to support their sales efforts by providing a value-added proposition through financing of the JLG products;
    • JLG’s external customers to work directly with them on their capital needs and structure a financing solution to meet those needs.  Continually partner with these customers in order to fully understand and proactively structure a financing solution to fit their businesses, objectives, strategies, and challenges within the eligibility requirements of JLG's network of third-party funders
    • JLG’s network of third-party funders in order to achieve the commercial and financial objectives set by JLG.
  • Identifying funders with whom JLG can work with to increase financing capacity and solutions to support customer sales.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with JLG’s captive finance company’s operations team to ensure timely credit approval by JLG’s third party funder, timely release of the whole goods to the JLG customers and ability to provide timely documentation to the customer ensuring prompt funding by the third party funder to JLG.  
  • Work closely with JLG/OSK Credit and JLG/OSK Treasury, to identify sustainable and appropriate financing solutions to support JLG’s Deal Sheet and Approval-to-Shipment processes.
  • Provide training and support to JLG Regional Sales Teams to encourage good practice and hence ability to structure customer offers for JLG’s benefit.
  • Review, perform, understands, and explain an effective financial analysis of the customer’s financial statements, risk, cash flows and collateral. 
  • Travel within the Caribbean, Latin and & South America 50% or more of the time visiting: i) existing and prospective customers, along with JLG’s regional sales managers, to structure a financing solution to meet the customer’s needs, ii) prospective and existing lenders to further enhance JLG’s network of third party lenders to meet the customer’s demands in this region and iii) North America for sales meetings, trade shows, and other meetings as requested.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 3-plus years related experience
  • Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese

STAND OUT QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Based out of the continental southern US. 
  • Highly self-motivated individual. 
  • Fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese. 
  • Experience in working with lenders in the Caribbean, Latin & South America.
  • Experience structuring financing transactions
  • Experience building and managing effective relationship with customers, vendors and internal partners. 
  • Experience traveling within the Caribbean, Latin & South America and understanding the local culture of these regions.  
  • Credit underwriting background, in the equipment financing or rental industry.
  • Understanding of Equipment Leasing and Finance Accounting principles
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient use of Apple and Microsoft Office products.

Pay Range:

$102,800.00 - $176,800.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
