Job Summary
- Provide visionary leadership for the Digital and Data Department, driving enterprise-wide digital transformation and innovation
- Direct the development and execution of digital strategy, product management, data and AI initiatives, and digital experience, ensuring all efforts align with business objectives and regulatory standards
- Champion the adoption of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, to enhance operational efficiency, elevate customer experience, and accelerate business growth
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess the impact of digital initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and delivering measurable results
The Job
Digital Strategy and Transformation
- Develop and implement a holistic digital strategy, integrating AI and data-driven approaches to transform business operations and customer engagement
- Oversee digital transformation programs, ensuring seamless integration across all business functions
- Identify, develop, and implement AI use cases to improve efficiency, risk management, and decision-making
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and upskilling
Digital Product Management
- Manage the digital product portfolio, roadmap, and life cycle, ensuring products meet evolving customer needs and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with UX/UI, business, and technology teams to prioritize features and deliver user-centric solutions
Data and AI
- Provide strategic leadership for data and AI governance, ensuring robust frameworks for data quality, security, and ethical use of artificial intelligence
- Oversee the development and implementation of data science and analytics initiatives, driving the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI solutions
- Conduct technical assessments of AI solutions to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Foster a culture of responsible innovation, promoting continuous improvement and upskilling in data and AI across the organization
Digital Experience and Performance
- Manage user experience and interface of digital platforms, ensuring usability and accessibility
- Define and measure performance metrics to track the impact of digital initiatives on business outcomes
Industry Leadership
- Stay abreast of insurance technology trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks (e.g. cyber threats, climate adaptation, sustainability)
- Represent the company in industry forums, regulatory working groups, and innovation partnerships
Statutory Role / Regulatory Appointment
- As required by company and regulatory guidelines
The Person
- Senior leadership experience in digital transformation, digital product management, data science, and AI within the insurance or financial services sector
- Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and delivering enterprise-wide initiatives
- Experience with corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and ethical AI practices
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced degree (Master’s or above) preferred
- Minimum 20 years of working experience, with at least 10 years in digital transformation, data and AI, or technology leadership roles, and at least 5 years in a senior management capacity within insurance or financial services
- Expertise in digital strategy, digital product management, data analytics, AI technologies (including generative AI), and UX/UI design
- Strong understanding of insurance operations, regulatory frameworks, and emerging industry trends (e.g., insurtech, sustainability, cyber risk)
- Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and drive adoption across the organization
