Role Summary/Purpose:

We are seeking a Product Owner to provide vision and lead a Prism agile team.  Product Owner, PRISM will be responsible for driving the agile team(s) and conducting stakeholder meetings to provide updates at regular intervals, hear back from them to adjust features and work on them accordingly. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background with a focus on Credit products and proven track record of representing the business, partnering with a cross-functional project teams, delivering projects on time and within budget.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for owned product(s) with deep product expertise.

  • Collaborate with business owners to set product vision, identify business requirements, write user stories.

  • Develop the product roadmap, prioritizing, scheduling, and tracking the implementation of product features. 

  • Ensuring the needs of the business and customers are met, plans are communicated. and issues are raised quickly and resolved. 

  • Collaborate with other product owners to deliver functionality across the platform.

  • Plan and prioritize features and user stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.

  • Align with Product Manager and other product owners in Prism at a program level. 

  • Align with critical partners such as Account Management Credit, ECE, Data Lake, Collections, Authentication, and Digital to identify deliverables, dependencies and risks.  

  • Lead the product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities.

  • Partner with key stakeholders such as Account Management Credit Implementation, SynApps Credit,  IT, ECE, Digital, Operations, Collections, Compliance and Risk to help identify and prioritize ideas, new features.

  • Actively engage in PI (program increment) planning as part of the SAFe framework.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years in consumer risk management, credit data management, or similar role within in a financial institution

  • 3+ years of project management experience, in a Waterfall and Agile environment

  • 3+ years of experience leading software development projects

  • Experience with Agile software development framework, acting in the Product Owner role

  • Experience with SAFe framework

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in Credit products including Account Management, Collections, Authentication  and Acquisitions

  • Experience in the banking/credit card industry

  • Track record of creative problem solving and ability to thrive in a cross-functional and virtual environment

  • High energy, self-motivated, with strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Experience with managing direct reports or through a matrixed environment

  • Program Management, Project Management and/or Business Analyst experience

  • Experience working in a dynamic environment

  • Experience working with a distributed team

  • Experience working with technology

Grade/Level: 11

                                                                                      

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

                                 

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
