Role Summary/Purpose:
Assist key function of reporting processes, reporting directly to VP, Corporate Reporting. Produce timely and accurate analysis to serve key stakeholders in SEC and Regulatory Reporting groups. Assist in the preparation & analysis of SEC periodic reports. Help drive process improvements and increased controllership within the SEC and Regulatory Reporting processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the process for preparation & review of the Quarterly SEC Balance Sheet including summary analysis for CFO and Controller review
Assist in the preparation, consolidation, analysis and controls for Reporting data packs and other miscellaneous reporting files to facilitate production of multiple outputs for both SEC and Regulatory Reporting needs.
Assist with Footnote disclosure reviews and related data requests for 10Q and 10K filings.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly materials to support the Chief Accounting Officer and SVP Controllership
Ownership, maintenance and monitoring of Reporting deliverable listing to ensure accurate complete and timely reporting and proper accountability for such
Assist with Axiom development and user acceptance testing prior to production
Perform weekly average balance monitoring
Help drive consistency across all external reporting (SEC Reporting and Regulatory) as applicable.
Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements and drives Controllership or cross functional implementation of identified opportunities; to implement & be comfortable working in a continuous improvement environment.
Assists with SEC filings, review of the 10K/10Q SEC disclosure requirements and comparison/research of peer filings as applicable.
Assists with preparation and maintenance of SOX Process Maps & other control documentation related to reporting
Works cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
Stays current with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting and Regulatory reporting requirements
Addresses questions and requests from Internal audit & external auditors
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
Minimum five years Accounting experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry
Proficient use of financial systems (HFM, Hyperion databases & Oracle Financials Data Warehouse (OFDW) and Microsoft Office (Excel)
Desired Skills & Experience:
SEC reporting experience
Analytical skills, ability to influence colleagues and facilitate meetings
Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
Ability to work in a team environment effectively
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
Familiar with concepts of process improvement and simplification
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
