Overview

Your role

  • Lead and oversee the estimating function for aviation-related projects, including airport facilities, maintenance buildings, mechanical systems, and security infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement estimating strategies and business development plans to support project and organizational goals.
  • Act as main point of client contact and develop and manage those relationships.
  • Assign and manage project staffing levels, workforce plans, and resource allocation to ensure timely and accurate estimate deliverables.
  • Organize and coordinate estimating teams to complete comprehensive estimate reports.
  • Serve as the primary interface with clients and project teams, defining project scope, deliverable formats, and expectations. Set up projects in CATO with agreed-upon formats.
  • Review proposal details and collaborate with management to align scope, deliverables, and effort with fee structures.
  • Provide guidance to staff, issue and track RFIs, and resolve technical questions related to estimates.
  • Ensure quality assurance by reviewing deliverables for completeness, benchmarking, and validating cost drivers.
  • Lead estimate and budget reconciliation efforts with owners and construction teams.
  • Provide senior-level project management support, including budgeting, forecasting, business development, pricing, billing, and client relationship management. 

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, plus 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat, and general IT tools.
  • Knowledge of estimating program functionality and WBS structures preferred.
  • Knowledge of Destini software preferred.
  • Familiarity with local construction market pricing conventions and trends.
  • Ability to prepare conceptual cost models from limited information using historical cost data.
  • FBI background check required.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $150,000 - $210,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
