This role is in the Maersk Technology Corporate Platforms organization. This organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the business’s experience with personalized and automated end-to-end digital journeys and with machine learning components providing Intelligent compliance screening and processing solutions to optimize and drive efficiencies in our business processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Associate Senior Software Engineer is a very important “T-Shaped” role demonstrating both depth and breadth across key engineering competencies, Software Development, Testing, and successfully collaborate with team members.
As a contributing hands-on engineer in the Corporate Affairs Platform, you will be expected.
• To actively participate in all the scrum ceremonies, contributes towards building a backlog, release plans, estimations, reviews in collaboration with team, architects, product owners and engineering manager.
• To promote Agile, DevSecOps frameworks and ensure high quality and low cycle times through best software engineering and development practices including automation.
• Develop, test, deploy, improve and maintain high quality (scalable, reliable, high performant, highly secure) micro services which follows Maersk Architecture principles, Information Models and quality and security standards.
• To monitor our business-critical application estate respond to incidents /change request / Bugs, prioritize them, analyze root cause and advise / implement solutions.
• To develop reusable code base or libraries for all the cross-cutting concerns which supports building a platform eco system.
• To collaborate with other team members in pair programming exercises.

Around 2+ years of Hands-on experience developing and reviewing high performant reactive clean code
• Experience in building cloud native, event driven services using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Scala, Spark and containerization
• Hands-on experience in performant and scalable database design in databases such PgSQL, etc
• Strong knowledge in data structures, algorithms, design patterns & Clean architecture principles
• Strong knowledge in design principles/methodologies such as SOLID, TDD, BDD, Agile Scrum
• Experience in REST APIs, good to have knowledge of GraphQL & gRPC
• Strong hands-on experience in GitHub/GitLab and testing tools/ frameworks such as SonarQube, JUnit, Postman, Polaris, Blackduck, cypress etc.
•Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD) with GitHub
Good to have knowledge of front end JavaScript framework for instance vue js / react js
• Good to have hands-on experience in any one or more cloud technologies preferably Azure
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and direction may change rapidly as customer requirements and market direction changes
• A great team player and strong collaborator
• Capability to communicate and collaborate with business Experts, IT Governance and other teams
