Cabrini's Emergency Department

​Cabrini Malvern’s ED is a leading private emergency care facility with 30 treatment spaces, including 3 dedicated resus bays (expanding soon). Staffed 24/7 by emergency specialists and registrars, our department features state-of-the-art equipment, including a dedicated radiology suite, X-ray, CT scans, after-hours ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and urgent MRI services.

How you will make an impact

As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you will support the Nurse Unit Manager by providing leadership and guidance to the ED nursing team. You will ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care while promoting professional development and maintaining Cabrini’s clinical standards.

Leaders in this role rotate across AM, PM, and Night shifts, ensuring oversight and leadership across all hours.

Key responsibilities:

  • Clinical competence: Deliver and oversee excellent, evidence-based nursing care

  • People management: Foster a professional, safe, and supportive team culture

  • Standards: Ensure practice aligns with relevant legislation and NMBA guidelines

  • Staff development: Promote continuing professional development for self and team members

About you

You are an experienced ED nurse and a motivated leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

  • Victorian Working with Children Check

  • Recent experience in Emergency nursing

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD/Professional Practice Portfolio)

Desirable:

  • Critical Care Post Graduate qualification
