Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 3 days/week in office)

Join Kraft Heinz as an Associate Director, Brand Marketing and lead the strategy and execution that drives growth for our iconic brands. You will define the long- and short-term vision for a portfolio of Kraft Heinz brands, own commercial outcomes (volume, profit, market share) and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver show-stopping results. This is a hands-on senior marketing role that blends bold brand building, rigorous commercial discipline, and people leadership — ideal for a leader who moves quickly, thinks both strategically and tactically, and is passionate about growing beloved household names.

What's on the menu?

Brand strategy & planning

  • Develop and own multi-year (1–3 year) and annual brand plans that translate business objectives into clear priorities, marketing roadmaps, and measurable targets.
  • Establish and refresh brand foundations: aspiration, positioning, target consumer(s), consumer “jobs to be done,” and proof points that drive distinctiveness and relevance for Kraft Heinz brands.
  • Translate strategic brand direction into prioritized activation plans across channels.

P&L and financial stewardship

  • Own brand-level P&L accountability and take responsibility for delivering volume, margin, and market share goals.
  • Build and manage budgets (including zero-based budgeting approaches when used), track financial performance, and drive cost and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Use financial reporting to diagnose performance, identify opportunities, and create action plans.

Demand generation & commercialization

  • Lead end-to-end commercialization for product innovation, renovations, pack changes and pricing actions, balancing growth and margin tradeoffs.
  • Collaborate with sales and trade partners to build demand generation plans, manage distribution strategies (place), and optimize pricing and promotion (the 4 Ps).
  • Oversee demand forecasting and performance tracking; adjust go-to-market plans in real time based on results.

Insights, measurement & forecasting

  • Use syndicated and internal data (e.g., POS, consumption/panel data, market share reports) to diagnose performance, identify opportunities, and create action plans.
  • Define KPIs and measurement frameworks to assess campaign and innovation impact and inform ongoing optimization.

Cross-functional leadership & execution

  • Lead cross-functional teams (marketing communications, innovation, insights, finance, supply chain, sales) to deliver above-the-line and omnichannel activations that grow the brand.
  • Partner with innovation/product teams on roadmap prioritization and with supply chain/operations on capacity, quality and cost issues to ensure flawless commercialization.
  • Ensure day-to-day decisions and tradeoffs align to the brand’s strategic destination.

People leadership & culture ambassador

  • Manage, mentor and develop direct reports; create a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize resources and coach teams to focus on the highest-impact activities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Proven track record leading brand strategy and delivering measurable top- and bottom-line growth across short- and multi-year horizons.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience owning a P&L, building budgets and driving financial results.
  • Demonstrated ability to use syndicated and internal data (POS/panel/consumption analysis) to generate insights and actions.
  • Experience managing the full marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion) and coordinating cross-functional commercialization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize scarce resources and focus teams on highest-impact activities.
  • Experience leading and developing a small team; strong coaching and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
