Key Responsibilities

Strategic Roadmap & Alignment

  • Support maintenance of the AI Hub’s strategic roadmap in coordination with leadership ensuring alignment with BMS’s business objectives across commercialization, R&D, manufacturing, and enabling functions.
  • Ensure team activities are aligned with BMS business objectives and communicated clearly to stakeholders.

Resource Management

  • Assist with budget tracking and personnel allocation for approved AI initiatives.
  • Report resource needs and challenges to senior leadership.

Vendor & Partner Coordination

  • Liaise with AIAP vendors and external partners regarding onboarding, scope tracking, and delivery follow-up.
  • Drive day-to-day vendor engagement and foster collaboration and accountability across delivery pipelines under guidance from senior leaders.

Governance & Compliance

  • Support governance team collaboration to help maintain compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements.

Technology & Best Practices

  • Monitor key AI technology trends relevant to team deliverables.
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Project Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor key AI technology trends relevant to team deliverables and encourage adoption of cutting-edge solutions.
  • Contribute to establishing and maintaining value measurement frameworks for assigned initiatives.

Support & Troubleshooting

  • Address stakeholder support requests and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Provide guidance and troubleshooting for team and vendor challenges.

Onboarding & Training

  • Coordinate onboarding processes for new AI initiatives and support training delivery for Scrum teams and Product Owners.

Communication & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare compelling presentations and reports to articulate project status, strategy, and business outcomes.
  • Collect feedback from users and teams to recommend process improvements and drive continuous enhancement.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
    • Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry)
    • Computer Science or Data Science
    • Engineering (e.g., Biomedical, Chemical, Industrial)
    • Business Administration or Management
    • Healthcare Administration or Information Systems
  • Preferred:
    • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MS in Life Sciences, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or Artificial Intelligence)
    • Additional certifications in Project Management (PMP, PMI-ACP), Agile/Scrum, or AI/ML are valuable but not strictly required.
  • 7 +years of relevant work experience—ideally including project/program management within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare/technology environments
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with external vendors/partners, preferably on technical or data science projects
  • Track record of supporting or coordinating AI, digital, or data-driven initiatives from planning to execution and reporting

Core Skills

  • Strong project management skills: Gantt tracking, sprint management, deliverable coordination
  • Excellent verbal/written communication for presentations, stakeholder updates, and reporting
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical AI/data concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with compliance and governance (e.g., GxP standards, data privacy, regulatory requirements)
  • Solution-oriented troubleshooting and support with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Competence in budget management, resource allocation, and vendor relationship management
  • Experience working with Jira, Confluence, AWS, Azure, Domino preferred

Compensation Overview:

Princeton - NJ - US: $167,540 - $203,013

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
