Job Summary

The Associate Consultant plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, managing risk, and supporting data integrity across compliance and surveillance processes. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, analysis, and delivery of Management Information (MI) reports to support compliance and surveillance activities.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of data and reports for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and enhance data management processes, including documentation, reconciliations, and system updates, to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process automation and workflow improvements using data-driven insights.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members and stakeholders on MI reporting tools, data analytics, and compliance procedures.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties, leveraging data and analytics to deliver clear, actionable information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Compliance, Technology, and business partners—to resolve technical issues and support operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Compliance, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of compliance/risk management/regulatory experience, with a focus on electronic communication and trade surveillance tools and utilities; specific experience with Bloomberg Vault, Verint, TrdingHub MAST and NICE ACTIMIZE tool is preferred.
  • Experience in Compliance with any financial institution; basic understanding of compliance programs and has participated in the successful execution of them. Experience supporting global compliance programs is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools (Power BI, SQL, SnowFlake, Python, Tableau, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Any relevant financial certifications is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with compliance surveillance systems.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment frameworks.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Creative thinking and ability to identify and put forward solutions.
  • Good consultative skills and analytical in nature.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and effective manner (verbal and written).
  • Handles presentations to groups and requests for approval of various types of projects/documents/tasks.
  • Provides informal guidance to new team members.
