We are looking for a highly creative, culturally astute, and results-driven Brand Activations Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in bringing the Yahoo brand to the forefront of cultural relevance through innovative and impactful activations.
A Lot About You
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter, chronically online, and passionate about hunting for the right trends and cultural moments to engage our audience. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager of Brand Activations.
Responsibilities:
Brand Activations (Approx. 75% of Time)
Ideation & Strategy: Actively participate in the brainstorming and strategic development of all brand activation initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy and marketing objectives.
Execution & Project Management: Play a key role in the end-to-end execution of brand activations, including:
Brand Campaigns: Supporting the development and launch of major brand campaigns.
Partnerships: Assisting in the identification, outreach, negotiation, and management of Influencer & Brand Partnerships.
Live Events: Supporting the planning and on-site execution of IRL (In-Real-Life) events.
Merchandise: Managing the ideation, design, and production of both internal and external Brand Merch.
Cultural Moments: Developing and actioning plans to capitalize on seasonally driven cultural moments and relevant conversation spikes.
Trend Spotting & Research: Serve as the team's cultural antenna, constantly monitoring social media, digital platforms, and emerging trends to identify opportunities for the Yahoo brand to authentically enter relevant conversations.
Reporting: Track and report on the performance and effectiveness of activations, contributing to post-mortem analyses to inform future strategy.
Cross-Functional & Creative Lab Support (Approx. 25% of Time)
Content Creation: Work cross-functionally with the Creative Lab team to develop and produce engaging content for various brand channels, leveraging cultural trends and activation insights.
Community Engagement: Support community management efforts as needed, ensuring the brand maintains a relevant and authentic voice in online spaces.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Effectively partner with internal teams, including Marketing, Social Media, PR, Legal, and Design, to ensure seamless execution of all initiatives.

The compensation for this position ranges from $46,500.00 - $96,875.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
