Job Title: Assistant Vice President – Client Reporting, Controls and Enablement

The Team:

The Client Reporting Team plays a pivotal role in delivering timely, accurate, and insightful reports that empower clients to make informed decisions. Acting as a critical interface between the organization and the institutional and retail clients, the team ensures transparency, regulatory compliance, and service excellence through high-quality reporting. By combining deep domain expertise with data analytics, automation, and strong governance, the team not only meets evolving client expectations but also drives continuous improvement and strategic value across the reporting lifecycle.

The Role:
The Assistant Vice President – Client Reporting, Control and Enablement is accountable to drive automation initiatives, continuous process improvements, and MIS development to strengthen efficiency, transparency, and decision-making in Client Reporting Team. Acting as a senior member within the function, the AVP coordinates specialist teams, partners with global stakeholders, and supports the VP – Client Reporting in executing the long-term reporting strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategic Delivery

  • Provide end-to-end guidance for client and internal reporting functions, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery aligned with SLAs and contractual commitments.

  • Integrate Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Audit & Assurance, and MIS teams into a cohesive delivery model that supports evolving client and regulatory expectations.

  • Act as the senior escalation point for operational and reporting issues, ensuring swift resolution and proactive risk mitigation.

Automation, Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead the design and implementation of automation solutions to streamline reporting workflows, reduce manual interventions, and improve data integrity.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies to enhance reporting efficiency and scalability.

  • Promote standardization of reporting processes and templates across clients and jurisdictions to support consistency and growth.

MIS, Analytics & Client Insights

  • Develop and maintain MIS frameworks that provide actionable insights into operational performance, client activity, SLA adherence, and risk metrics.

  • Deliver executive dashboards and analytical reports (KPIs/KRIs) to senior management, governance forums, and client stakeholders.

  • Leverage data analytics to identify client trends, forecast reporting volumes, and uncover opportunities for service enhancement.

Risk Management & Control Governance

  • Maintain strong oversight of the Client Reporting control environment, ensuring compliance with enterprise risk policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.

  • Lead the closure of audit observations and ensure robust control testing and documentation across reporting processes.

  • Foster a culture of proactive risk management and control ownership within the reporting teams.

Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Alignment

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Client Services, Compliance, Operations, and Technology to ensure reporting solutions are aligned with strategic priorities and client needs.

  • Represent Client Reporting in enterprise-wide transformation programs, regulatory initiatives, and contributing domain expertise and thought leadership.

  • Translate stakeholder feedback into enhancements in reporting capabilities, tools, and service delivery.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team across Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Audit & Assurance, and MIS, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and client-centricity.

  • Support succession planning and talent development initiatives in partnership with the VP – Client Reporting, ensuring leadership continuity and capability growth.

  • Drive employee engagement, performance management, and skill development to support individual and organizational success.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven track record in automation, process improvement, and MIS/dashboard creation.

  • Deep understanding of investment products, portfolio structures, and reporting workflows.

  • High proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and workflow automation tools.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to operate effectively at senior executive levels.

  • Excellent analytical, risk management, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and project updates to senior leadership.

  • Passionate about developing a work environment that embraces and values diversity. 

  • Attention to detail and the ability to articulate complex ideas/concepts to stakeholders.

Experience:

  • 12–14 years of progressive experience in asset management or investment operations, with at least 5 years in client reporting leadership roles.

  • Management and coaching of Business Analysts, Data Analysts, SME

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s in Business or any other equivalent certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt for process improvement.

  • Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile certifications preferred.
