Assistant Superintendent - OES Modular Solutions

Job Description

OES Equipment, a part of DPR Construction's family of companies, is seeking a detail oriented Assistant Superintendent to help support it's modular solutions group. As an Assistant Superintendent at OES Equipment, you will support the execution of modular projects. You’ll work closely with the project team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves coordinating field operations, managing subcontractors, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing site setup including grading, utility connections, and modular unit placement.
  • Assist in overseeing daily field operations on modular building installation and site setup.
  • Ensure site readiness prior to delivery and installation of modular units.
  • Collaborate with project managers and estimators to develop accurate project scopes and cost estimates.
  • Assist in preparing bid packages and change orders.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and installation.
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, reporting progress and issues to the project team and leadership.
  • Review site conditions and provide input on labor, materials, and equipment needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including daily logs, reports, and change orders.
    • Document project milestones, issues, and resolutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members.
  • Support logistics and inventory management for modular units.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and project coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to job sites and work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in construction, site development or modular building installation.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
  • Experience with modular buildings solutions.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes.

Physical Requirements

  • Up to 25% travel for site inspections and project installations.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
