Job Description

The Economics Department within the Sykes College of Business at University of Tampa invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor starting in Fall 2026.

The teaching load is three (3) four credit hour courses for a total of 12 hours per semester. Review of application will begin on December 15, 2025.

The candidate is expected to engage in scholarly research activity that potentially involves undergraduates, advise students, and provide service to the department, college, university and broader community.

Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. 

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics from an AACSB accredited institution before the start date. A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence is required.  The applicant will also be expected to maintain an active research agenda and to actively participate in student service. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research interests in macroeconomics, financial economics, or labor economics. Experience conducting and supervising research with undergraduate students would be desirable.
