Assistant Manager, Student Engagement and Development (Undergraduate Programmes)

As the Assistant Manager of Student Engagement and Development (SED), the incumbent will play a vital role in enhancing the undergraduate experience at NTUpreneur. Reporting to the Assistant Director/Lead, this position is central to promoting the SMiE and MiE programmes, strengthening student engagement, and building a vibrant NTUpreneur community. A key performance indicator (KPI) is increasing enrolment for each programme cohort, making effective communication of the programmes' benefits and value essential. Through targeted marketing efforts, outreach events, leadership programmes, and community-building activities, s/he will support NTUpreneur’s mission to develop entrepreneurial-minded students and foster a dynamic, supportive environment within the Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Programme Marketing and Outreach

    • Develop and implement marketing strategies for SMiE and MiE

    • Oversee production of marketing materials (brochures, posters, social media)

    • Manage social media channels and create engaging campaigns

    • Collaborate with NTU Schools for cross-departmental

    • Promotions

  • Organise Outreach Events and Activities

    • Plan and execute roadshows, Open House, info sessions, etc.

    • Coordinate and support NTUpreneur’s participation in NTU/external events

    • Organise visits for stakeholders

    • Promotions

  • Lead Student Engagement and Development Initiatives

    • Implement onboarding sessions and community-buidling events

    • Rebuild and manage Student Ambassador Programme and NTUpreneur Student Club

    • Mentor student leaders and guide student club in event and programme execution

    • Develop co-curricular initiatives that foster entrepreneurship

    • Ensure Student Club follows BTU’s governance framework

  • In-charge of Data Management and Administration for the Undergraduate Team

    • Responsible for data management and act as PDPA focal point

    • Manage and maintain event calendar, reports, programme accounts

    • Ensure updated programme content online (eg. Website and intranet)

  • Responsible for Budgeting and Reporting on Student Engagement and Development functions

    • Ensure proper tracking of budget and work with Lead on budget planning for student engagement activities

    • Collect data, analyse trends and report on programme improvements

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognised Institute of Higher Learning.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in student engagement, student development, or programme/event management within a tertiary-education environment, with some supervisory exposure.

  • Strong planning, organisational and multi-tasking abilities to manage student-related projects, events and outreach activities effectively.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, build rapport and engage a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with familiarity in social-media tools, digital communications and basic design applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and report data for programme evaluation and improvement.

  • Empathy and sensitivity in working with students, with the ability to foster inclusion, collaboration and a positive student experience.

  • Strong social-media awareness and creativity in producing engaging digital content; experience in video editing or graphic-design tools will be an advantage.

  • Proactive, resourceful and student-centred, demonstrating initiative, sound problem-solving and effective time-management skills.

  • Team-oriented and adaptable, able to work independently and perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
