Position Details
The Athletic Department at the University of Tampa has a full-time position for an Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse who will be responsible for a Division II Women's Lacrosse Program within University conference and NCAA Rules and Regulations. This position reports to the Women's Lacrosse Head Coach.
Responsibilities
1. Assist with the administration and management of the women’s lacrosse program.
2. Assisting in all aspects of recruiting (identifying, evaluating, communicating) and retaining student-athletes to The University of Tampa Women's Lacrosse Program.
3. Develop and prepare practice plans, scouting reports, and game plans as directed.
4. On field coaching and directing student athletes at practice and games for development of individual and team skills.
5. Support team travel and team fundraising.
6. Monitor and support the academic progress of team, including study halls, advising and helping with social issues.
7. Comply with all NCAA, conference, university, and athletic department rules and regulations.
8. Perform all responsibilities with the highest ethical standards, consistent with the college’s mission, vision, and values, including diversity, equity, and inclusion.
9. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
2. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
3. Knowledge of women's lacrosse rules.
4. Ability to manage a group of student athletes and command their respect.
5. Commitment to high academic and professional standards.
6. Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
7. Ability to create a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
8. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
9. Knowledge of, or the ability to learn quickly, The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday, Watermark, Navigate, and Microsoft Office.
10. Women’s Lacrosse coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred
11. Ability to travel and work evenings, weekends and some holidays.

Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Summer: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
