The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy invites applications for an open rank tenure track faculty position within the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Science.
We are seeking a clinical and translational scientist with a strong record of scholarly productivity and a commitment to pharmacogenomics discovery and implementation research. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has partnered with Helix, a leading precision health company, to sequence the exomes of 100,000 individuals over the next 4-5 years. This community health research initiative is called Ohio State Genomic Health. As part of participation, individuals consent to sharing their deidentified electronic health records (EHRs) data with Helix. This partnership makes Ohio State part of the Helix Research Network, which is expected to eventually hold genomics data linked to EHR data on approximately 2M individuals. The successful candidate will be expected to build an externally funded research program that can capitalize on this and other resources to advance understanding of genetic contributions to therapeutic and adverse responses to therapeutics, and/or facilitating or leading pharmacogenomic implementation into clinical practice. As a faculty member in the College of Pharmacy with broad interests in clinical and translational pharmacology, pharmacogenetics, outcomes, bioinformatics and human genetics, they will be well positioned to collaborate with a wide array of researchers across the University. This position will also add to the division expertise in using large data sets to improve therapeutic outcomes.

Develop or continue an independent and focused program of research and scholarship that has national and international recognition
Establish or maintain a record of competitive grant and/or contract funding, including from federal funding sources, that supports a productive research program
Achieve excellence in teaching and mentoring, including the training and mentoring of graduate students
Demonstrate service and leadership within the college and university and participate in service in professional activities
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: PharmD/PhD, PharmD with postdoctoral research training, or PhD in clinical pharmacology, translational sciences, human genetics or related field and appropriate postdoctoral training; demonstrated research productivity in pharmacogenetics or human genetics. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to building a community with a sense of belonging where all are valued, in line with OSU’s Shared Values (see below).
Desired: Experience mentoring; experience with interdisciplinary research; evidence of independence, evidence of extramural funding (associate and professor ranks).
