Apprentice Procurement Operations Support Officer

We’re looking for an Apprentice Procurement Operations Support Officer to join our Group Procurement Team in our London office.
 

About the role

This is a great chance to get hands-on experience in Procurement (buying goods and services for a business). You’ll learn how our Procurement System (on the Salesforce platform) works, help keep it running smoothly, and support the wider team. You’ll pick up technical skills, professional knowledge, and confidence while working in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an apprentice, you’ll be trained and supported to:

  • System Operations & Data Integrity - help keep our Procurement System up to date by entering accurate data and checking supplier information.
  • Technical Compliance Support - work with stakeholders to make sure rules and regulations are followed.
  • Contracting & Category Support - help check contract information is correct across different areas.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - work with colleagues across the business and provide a helpful, professional service.
  • Administrative & Project Support - support the team with admin tasks like raising support tickets and making sure issues get solved.
  • Policy & Compliance Assistance – work with the Policy and Compliance Manager to learn how procurement rules work and provide support.
  • Service Level Management - help process requests from staff and make sure they’re completed on time.
  • Team Collaboration – work with your team to get things done together.

Apprenticeship Opportunity

You’ll be enrolled in the Procurement and Supply Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship, which includes:

  • Up to 24 months of structured learning.
  • Study time allocation of 6 hours per week.
  • A nationally recognised qualification in procurement and supply.
  • Development of key technical and behavioural competencies to support your career progression.

This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in procurement, gain hands-on experience with a Procurement system, and contribute to the housing sector.

Essential Skills & Qualities

  • Good basic IT skills (e.g. using Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work accurately with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and complete the apprenticeship qualification.
  • Ability to work with others and build positive working relationships.
  • Organised and able to manage time effectively.

Desirable Skills & Qualities

  • Previous experience in an office or admin role.
  • Interest in data, systems, or technology.
  • An understanding of what procurement is (buying goods and services for a business).
  • Experience of customer service (any environment, e.g. retail, hospitality, volunteering).
  • Confident using spreadsheets or databases.

This is a hybrid role with a base location at our London, Greater London House office. Candidates will be expected to work from the office at least two days per week.

Building Futures – please note selected candidates will be required to attend on Monday 15th December at our London, GLH office from 11am until 3pm.

As part of our apprenticeship recruitment process, all candidates are required to attend a Building Futures session. This bespoke 3–4-hour programme is designed to help us get to know our candidates better and ensure they are prepared and ready for an apprenticeship.

During the session, you will learn more about the role and what it’s like to work at Clarion. The hiring manager will join for a short “day in the life” overview, and our training provider will explain the qualification in more detail to help you understand the expectations and opportunities ahead.
