Why This Role Matters
This person will be responsible for using Christie’s Appraisals Management System (CAMS) to perform data entry and produce illustrated appraisal documents of a high standard, following catalogue guidelines to meet specified deadlines.
How You Will Make An Impact
Appraisal Production
Work on multiple appraisals concurrently, entering item cataloguing and value information in accordance with Christie’s standards for Fine and Decorative arts
Carefully and thoroughly proof and correct appraisal documents
Source, manipulate and crop images to be included in appraisals
Import data into CAMS using Microsoft Excel
Use Christie’s client system (COS) to create and update client information
Use various systems and tools to access (or update) information (such as COS, Artnet, etc.)
Transcribe audio recordings
Assist in all aspects of producing finished appraisal documents (printing, binding, saving, filing, etc.)
Client Research Activities
Review daily publications and cross-reference with COS for business development opportunities
Occasional Lexis-Nexis research
Departmental Support
Provide CAMS training and support for new and existing EAV team members
Assist with file and record management projects (as assigned)
Additional duties as assigned by manager.
What You Will Bring To The Team
Excellent IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly; experience with Excel, Outlook, Word,
PowerPoint (in a professional context)
Strong typing skills; minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken communication.
Organized and a demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
Meticulous attention to detail
