The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug (AOD) programs including withdrawal management, residential and non-residential rehabilitation, and harm reduction programs. Salvos services go beyond addressing the core issues and challenges associated with problematic substance abuse and provide participants a place of hope, compassion, and dignity to recover safely.
As an AOD Case Worker, this is your opportunity to be the backbone of our daily service delivery - supporting efficient day to day service delivery and ensure that case workers provide case management, assessment and referral, education, and support in accordance with TSA and service guidelines. Provide support to the team ensuring services are provided within our Model of Care.
Reporting to the AOD Team Leader, this is a full-time permanent role based in Maroubra, NSW.
Salary is based on the SCHADS Award, Level 4.
Deliver high quality person centred services through education, interventions, assessments, group work, referrals and case management while ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in practice.
Develop, monitor and document individual treatment plans in line with case planning procedures while maintaining accurate records, data and reports.
Provide effective leadership and supervision to Case Workers, fostering reflective practice, capability building and team wellbeing while managing performance and recruitment needs.
Collaborate with internal and external services to maintain strong referral pathways and promote active client participation and feedback.
Represent the service through community engagement, presentations and participation in sector and network meetings to strengthen partnerships and support positive client outcomes.
What you will bring
Minimum diploma level qualification in AOD, community services or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service, and study/development
Relevant experience in supervising staff preferred
A current NSW Driver’s License
