The Position

Roche has established the Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) to drive analytics and technology-driven solutions by partnering with Roche affiliates across the globe.

As an Analytics & Intelligence - Lead Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the Digital, Data & Advanced Analytics team based in the US, Therapy Areas Insights Directors, Forecasters, Ecosystem Insights Leads, and the broader GATE team. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver forecasting-related solutions, advanced analytics, and actionable insights that support strategic priorities, aiming for the greatest impact on customers and patients.

The Opportunity

  • Lead and execute complex projects focusing on Pharma commercial operations, including Forecasting, Brand Performance, Patient Journeys, Product Launch Support, and Marketing ROI analysis.
  • Collaborate with Therapy Area forecasting teams to ensure alignment and data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term forecast models, integrating the latest data and assumptions.
  • Lead forecasting and business planning processes for assigned work streams.
  • Identify and address key business issues affecting forecasts, incorporating competitive intelligence, market research, and access results.
  • Act as a thought partner for stakeholders by leading discussions and delivering high-quality insights and recommendations.
  • Effectively communicate key insights via impactful presentations to influence strategic decisions.
  • Mentor and train junior team members, helping to develop technical and Pharma-specific domain knowledge.
  • Lead discussions and coordinate with internal GATE teams and stakeholders, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Take an enterprise-focused approach, aligning individual tasks with broader organizational goals to drive both business and patient impact.
  • Attend cross-time zone meetings (IST/PST overlap) to ensure smooth coordination and delivery.

Who You Are

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor's degree in Technology or a relevant field (preferred fields include Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Engineering).
    • Over 4 years of experience in Forecasting or Data Analytics, with 4-5+ years working on Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare-related forecasting projects.
    • Certifications in analytics, data science, or related areas are a plus.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Hands-on proficiency with SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, R, or SAS.
    • Strong expertise with Excel, Pharma Forecasting modeling, and varied forecasting methodologies.
    • Experience with Dataiku DSS and understanding of AI/ML capabilities is advantageous.
    • Skilled in working with secondary datasets like IQVIA Sales, 867 data, LAAD Claims, affiliations, and medical data (required).

  • Industry Knowledge:

    • Exposure to therapeutic areas such as oncology, neurology, and immunology.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and analytics into actionable, data-informed business strategies.

  • Key Competencies:

    • Strong presentation and communication skills with proven experience in influencing stakeholder decision-making through concise and impactful insights.
    • Excellent project leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with a focus on delivering business and patient value.
    • Willingness to travel internationally for key strategic meetings as required (having a valid U.S. business visa [B1/B2] is a strong advantage).
