The Core Manufacturing Crew supports this vision by applying world-class risk management practices to achieve the team’s objective: positioning the Home Loan portfolio for sustainable profitable growth by ensuring appropriate controls and strategies are in place to minimise losses and maximise revenues.


Do work that matters:

You will help manage the valuation risks associated with Australia’s largest home lending portfolio. This will involve supporting optimisation and growth through sound understanding of home loan valuations policy and strategy. You will provide portfolio analytics such as LVR for Basel III, valuations strategy, policy and business rules for home lending.

On a day-to-day basis, you will: 

  • Provide quality, accurate, and timely analytics using industry-standard tools to support valuation business rules and strategies.

  • Work with the team to utilise the VAS system in delivering effective valuation decisions that support the home loan lending business.

  • Assist in analysing and generating insights on valuation and portfolio risk, helping to identify emerging risks, including environmental issues.

  • Contribute to reporting and investigating property market impacts on valuations and supplier management.

  • Support communication and relationship-building efforts with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Engage in team development activities to continually enhance personal and team growth.

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, resilience, ethical behaviour, teamwork and stakeholder management in line with the Group’s Vision and Values.

  • Familiarity or foundational experience in credit risk management roles, with a willingness to learn and grow in this area.

  • Demonstrated experience in Analytics, Modelling or Business Intelligence.

  • Experience in extracting raw data from large data warehouses using Teradata SQL/SAS/ Python/R with a keen interest in exploring data to uncover insights, trends, and root causes.

  • A strong passion for addressing business challenges by integrating business acumen with data-driven insights.

  • Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of processes, strategies, and systems to ensure high-quality analysis.

  • Ability to navigate and manage complex systems and large datasets, with support and guidance as needed to enhance skills.

  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Information Technology.

  • Basic skills in stakeholder management and the ability to build rapport, with opportunities to develop these skills further.
