Allied Health Coordinator – Physiotherapy | Blue Care | Allied Health Team

  • Employment Term: Permanent Full Time

  • Remuneration: $62.93 p/hr + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances
  • 5 weeks annual leave

Your part in our BlueCare team

To provide responsive clinical services and staff supervision across our community aged care Physiotherapy services. Working within the Physiotherapy discipline scope of practice you will assist Allied Health Leads in coordinating and implementing successful service outcomes.

A challenging but diverse and rewarding role, you will: 

  • Provide a high standard of flexible and responsive clinical supervision to physiotherapy and allied health assistant staff across a broad geographical area of Queensland.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload delivering in home and in centre services to community dwelling older adults.
  • Triage and allocate inbound Physiotherapy referrals, delegating caseloads to appropriate staff.
  • Facilitate team meetings and coordinating staff training and promotional presentations as required.
  • Coordinate orientation and onboarding of new staff and student programs.
  • Assist to plan and implement Quality Activity and Service Improvement opportunities as identified.

What makes a difference for us? 

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Physiotherapy are essential, with post-graduate studies highly regarded
  • Current AHPRA registration with minimum 5 years experience working as a Registered Physiotherapist
  • Leadership or management experience within allied health or multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated high level of understanding of contemporary theory and practice in multiple areas of expertise, particularly within the community health / aged care  / rehabilitation settings.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build and maintain great relationships across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Effective time-management and complex clinical problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate technology skills and the ability to implement and train staff in the basic use of web based and mobile application (including MS 365) software suites.
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance as required  
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
