Summary of Job Duties:

The available Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Instructor (Part-time, non-credit) position will effectively teach non-credit Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technical prep training course consisting of 120 hours of instruction and hands-on experience in aircraft systems, components, and operations. This program is designed specifically for military airmen with turbine engine experience who are preparing to complete their FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification process. The curriculum is structured to assist eligible individuals in preparing for the FAA Oral and Practical Examination, administered by an FAA Designated Maintenance Examiner (DME).
• Deliver training at UA Pulaski Tech Aerospace Center located at 1600 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120. Classes will be scheduled 2-3 evenings per week, 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
• Responsible for maintaining safety in labs; including tools and equipment
• Collaborate with the Executive Director of Workforce Development and Director of Workforce Development in relation to strategic planning, program implementation, marketing efforts, and process improvements.
• Update and maintain lab equipment to industry standards.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

 

·         Must hold an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.

·         3-5 years related experience in A&P.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Teaching experience preferred.

·         Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
