Our Aerodynamic test facilities in Bremen are a key asset for Airbus and the Aerodynamics department. They contain a low speed wind tunnel and an Aerodynamics laboratory driven by a high pressurized air system with a flexible structure to conduct multiple experiments of different kind of nature. We are proud of our unique position as a competence center for turbine powered engine simulators. With this setup we deliver our essential part in Flight Physics and Airbus to develop the future means of sustainable air transportation.

Your tasks and responsibilities
You will be responsible for specific developments and tests arrangements to enable aerodynamic experiments. This includes the design of models & facilities, the definition of measurement techniques & methodologies for performance investigations and the execution of tests. In your role you will be part of an international team sharing different task to realize the execution of complex experiments. Also you will be using numerical means to simulate the planned experiments upfront to increase the efficiency of the test.
Specific requirements:
Aerodynamics & thermodynamic
Test engineering
Measurement technique and Instrumentation
Numerical simulation of external and internal flows using STARCCM and TAU
Sufficient project management skills
Knowledge of systems engineering methods
General requirements:
University Degree in Aerospace Engineering
Basic knowledge & Interest in Aerodynamics, CFD & WTT
Hands on abilities preferably with model build experience, pragmatic approach
Willingness to travel to Airbus Sites and external testing facilities and research partners / suppliers
Ability and interest to interface with customers, suppliers and research institutes
Organisational talent for spare parts & repairs & maintenance
Teamplayer in a transnational and highly multiskilled team
English fluent, german would be a plus
