Overview:

This opening is for Advance Methods development CoE in E&T at Collins Aerospace for Aero-thermal System Modeling manager. Requires a total of 10+ years’ experience on physical system modeling with expertise in MATLAB/Simulink.

What You’ll Do:

Domain Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experienced in Dynamic and Steady state plant & controls modeling for Electro-Mechanical/Hydro-mechanical/Electrical/HVAC or Gas turbine or Environmental Control, Engine Bleed Air Regulation/ Air Distribution/Gas Inerting System or equivalent system
  • Experienced in model validation/correlation of steady state/dynamic system models.
  • More than 8 years of experience in dynamic and steady state Modelling/Simulation skills using object oriented modelling tools like Simulink/Simscape/Modelica/Dymola or similar simulation environment.
  • Highly Experienced in Matlab or Python based scripting.
  • Good experience in people Management, Hiring, career development, performance assessment, Stake holder interaction and business development.
  • Critical thinker, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Analyze, monitor and improve efficiency, stability of the system
  • Assist in the development of proposals for new business that will implement MBSE/MBD
  • Interact with US counterparts for close coordination of the project activities.

Qualifications we Prefer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering and or Master’s in Controls/Instrumentation/Thermal/Design with a minimum 10 years experience

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of the customer requirements and specifications.
  • Working closely with the senior engineers and other stake holders to develop plant and controller models for Air management system
  • Technical and business proposal preparation for advance methods development
  • Technical mentoring and coaching of engineers
  • Participate in internal CoP and external professional bodies
  • Deliver the results within cost and schedule with quality
  • Support creating Standard works, Lessons Learnt documents, Standard Job Instructions and Check lists.
