What Supply Chain Planning contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Supply Chain Planning is responsible for ensuring the right quantity of products arrives in the right place, at the right time and cost. This job family is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning, supply planning, deployment planning, inventory planning, collaborative planning, expediting, purchasing and the design and implementation of the supply chain network. Supply Chain Planning utilized supplier contracts and manufacturing parameters to exceed customer service level commitments while optimizing supply chain costs and inventory. Supply Chain Planning leverages technology to achieve best in class processes to position supply chain as a competitive advantage.

The Advisor, Supply Chain Planning is responsible for customer demand planning, developing, and maintaining accurate demand forecasts, and leading the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for Generic/Brand suppliers to drive alignment cross functionally to support supply chain and corporate goals, also supporting the transition of supplier contracting/purchasing activity to the Cardinal Health Global Contracting Company Limited (CHGCC), a new sourcing hub based in Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as the key facilitator for cross-functional collaboration across finance, sourcing, consumer health, purchasing and key accounts.
  • Drive forecast accuracy improvements, validating and challenging inputs from stakeholders, market trends, and system forecast parameters.
  • Conduct scenario planning to evaluate the impact of various business scenarios, including local/global supply disruption, customer demand shift, and seasonal planning.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data flow to the planning tool, analyzing data to provide actionable insights for inventory decision making.
  • Analyze customer demand data, identify inventory gaps, load holdout in appropriate locations to support customer demand changes or address short term demand fulfillment gaps.
  • Analyze demand forecast, identifying trends, root causing demand forecast errors, working cross-functionally to address customer demand swing, and taking actions to improve demand forecast accuracy in planning system.


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Highly skilled in scenario planning and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) preferred
  • Proven success in improving forecast accuracy preferred
  • Experience building cross functional relationships in a complex environment, preferred
  • Strong data analysis with demand forecasting, identifying trends and root cause preferred

Anticipated salary range: $67,500 - $96,300
