Job Description:

The Community Health Informatics Data (CHID) Lab at Brown University advances interdisciplinary research at the intersections of community health, data justice, and digital equity.  The coordinator supports the Lab’s mission by coordinating project timelines, assisting with grant development and submission, managing communications with collaborators, and maintaining compliance with Brown’s research administration standards.

 

This position plays a central role in sustaining the Lab’s research and community partnerships by developing funding proposals, supporting project implementation, and documenting outcomes related to health equity, community informatics, and AI accountability.

 

This part time (20 hours per week) position is 100% grant funded with an end date of August 31st 2026 with the possibility of renewal, based on satisfactory work performance and dependent upon available funding.

Education and Experience

                    Associates degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

                    Project management experience preferred.

 ●                    Project Management: Ability to plan, organize, and oversee multiple research and administrative projects, ensuring timely completion of goals and deliverables.

                    Research Coordination & Compliance: Support research operations in accordance with institutional, ethical, and funding requirements, including Institutional Review Board (IRB) and data management standards.

                    Communication & Collaboration: Effective written and verbal communication skills.

                    IT Skills: Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Zoom and the ability to navigate databases for collections maintenance.

                    Leadership & Team Support: Provide direction, mentorship, and organizational support to undergraduate lab members; promotes a positive, inclusive, and efficient work culture.

                    Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Must be able to anticipate challenges, apply critical thinking, and develop practical solutions to support project success.

                    Adaptability & Continuous Improvement: Must be able to respond effectively to shifting priorities and demonstrate a commitment to learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
