As an Administrative Assistant II for Kidney Medicine, you will assist with projects and daily operational tasks, including identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance workplace efficiency. In this role, you will perform a variety of administrative duties to support assigned healthcare professionals, such as scheduling, managing phone calls, greeting patients and visitors and handling correspondence.

A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Caregivers may transition to a hybrid schedule, working two days remotely per week following completion of training.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Manage, prioritize and send out multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively such as acting as a liaison between internal and external customers by greeting customers, answering and triage phone calls.

  • Organize and create 6-week assignments.

  • Schedule transport, handle the place and close process for the case managers and complete IMM letters.

  • Administer calendar and schedule management.

  • Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence (e.g., reports, forms, presentation materials, messages, etc.) as required.

  • Provide coverage of other areas such as front end, point of service and registration.

  • Coordinate management functions and assist in special projects

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • High School Diploma or GED and three years of secretarial experience

  • OR Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science and two years of experience 

  • Ability to type 45 WPM  

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Associate’s Degree 

  • Medical terminology knowledge

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office – EPIC – Oracle – CoFax - DocuSign

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

  • In some locations, ability to move up to 20 pounds
