The Department of Natural Sciences, in the College of Arts and Sciences, is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a part-time non-tenure track adjunct faculty position in Chemistry. We seek qualified instructors to teach face-to-face lecture and laboratory courses during the daytime hours in organic chemistry courses as well as general chemistry courses. This is for the spring semester with potential to teach in the fall and summer as well. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a safe environment for instruction and learning in a laboratory setting.
Salary: $3,000 per 3-credit course, $2,000 per 3-hour laboratory
Required Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.
Must have 18 graduate credit hours in related area.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Completed Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.
Experience teaching at the college level.
Experience working with all students from different backgrounds and settings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Strong self-discipline and ability to work independently.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

Finalists will be required to provide three current, original letters of recommendation to the Search Committee Chair. The letters should be less than one year old and should bear the writer’s actual signature.

We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
