As an Addepar Consultant, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop monthly and quarterly reporting cycles for high-net-worth clients, family offices, and trusts, delivering timely, accurate, and insightful outputs
Map and maintain complex client relationships and ownership structures to ensure precise consolidated reporting across entities and accounts
Work confidently in large, complex datasets to identify and resolve data and calculation discrepancies before they impact reporting
Leverage deep expertise in Canadian investment accounting and tax to engineer accurate, auditable tax calculations—covering ACB maintenance, FMV, superficial loss and return-of-capital adjustments, and FX—and to manage end-to-end data flow from the investment book of record through the accounting book of record into the general ledger
Hands-on experience with investment accounting and analytics software, including working directly in Addepar
Demonstrate experience with programming/scripting—specifically Python—to automate processes and enhance data quality
Show strong proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, nested formulas, data cleaning/validation) and the ability to structure and manipulate complex datasets
Handle complex investment datasets, including multi-asset class portfolios, performance data, and market data sourced from various providers
Possess a deep understanding of financial instruments across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments to contextualize analysis and reporting
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
Extensive experience in accounting or finance, with a strong track record in financial reporting and/or management accounting
CPA or equivalent is highly preferred
Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE/IFRS) and ability to proactively and independently research guidance
Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems cloud accounting software is considered an asset
Proficiency in digital and/or data analysis tools
Effectively juggle multiple projects and teams under pressure with a proactive approach
Senior team members are expected, when needed, to dive into the details to ensure complex or challenging engagements are completed on time and with quality
Demonstrates coachability by actively seeking feedback, embracing growth opportunities, and pursuing continuous development
Actively mentor and support engagement team members by sharing expertise and feedback, helping them grow and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing, and inclusive environment for their engagements
Actively coach specific individuals and collaborate around their professional growth
The ability to clearly present findings and recommendations, both written and verbally
Proactively engage with existing clients to understand their evolving needs and identify opportunities for increasing scope or other services
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements across multiple entities
Review variance analysis, account reconciliations, and financial modeling to support decision-making
Support the sharing of insights with clients on a regular basis
Drive accountability for the team's execution of a robust financial close process
When applying to a Quebec based opportunity, fluency in French is required. Outside of Quebec, fluency in French is an asset
