Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

 

Legend Biotech is seeking Accounting Manager as part of the Finance team based in Somerset, NJ.

Role Overview

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations for the US entity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting operations for various accounts, including prepayments, fixed assets, right-of-use assets, collaboration accounting, accrued expenses, payroll and long-term liabilities.
  • Responsibilities include preparation and review of journal entries, preparation of working papers/schedules, review of account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly close process, with a focus on accelerating timelines through automation and process improvements.
  • Oversee the fixed asset subledger and ensure all fixed assets are properly recorded and supported.
  • Perform detailed reviews of "Construction in Progress" (CIP) accounts and collaborate with various departments to ensure assets are placed into service timely.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assist in providing accounting documentation requested to support various audits, tax and special projects.
  • Initiate continuous improvement to increase efficiency and respond to change in the business environment.
  • Provide timely communication with Accounting and Finance teams when helping to solve accounting-related problems.
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; a major in Accounting required.
  • Professional certification (CPA/CMA) preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in Accounting or Auditing.
  • Preferred, experience in biopharmaceutical and/or medical devices industry or combined experience of public accounting in auditing SEC registrants and industry accounting operations.
  • Significant experience using SAP S4 Hana or a major ERP System.
  • Strong skills in using Excel, required.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Fundamental understanding of Accounting and General Ledger.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strength in communicating and working independently and effectively with broad stakeholders.
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical skills for risk identification and management.

The anticipated base pay range is
$107,482$141,070 USD
