Overview:
Our client, a well-established leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the integrity of all financial reporting. This individual will play a critical role in managing the accounting team, streamlining processes, and supporting strategic business initiatives through accurate financial insight.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee general ledger accounting, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth, accuracy, and accountability.
Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with finance leadership.
Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and filing processes.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost savings, and areas for process improvement.
Partner with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
Experience in a manufacturing or production-based environment highly preferred.
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills with a hands-on approach.
