Peppercomm, a Ruder Finn Group Company, is seeking an Account Supervisor (AS) to join our growing team! The AS must be news obsessed, trend focused, always curious, entrepreneurially minded, data-driven, and above all, a superb listener. This person should strive to exceed client expectations and deliver exceptional value as a trusted partner evidenced by client feedback and account growth.

In this role, the AS will lead client relationships and team operations while delivering strong communications results across our financial services, B2B and consumer portfolio.

This hybrid position is based in New York City, with two in-office days required per week.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day strategic lead for multiple client accounts, providing senior-level counsel, proactive recommendations, and insights that drive measurable results.

  • Lead and mentor account teams, ensuring strong communication, collaboration, and professional growth.

  • Oversee and execute earned media efforts building relationships with key media, driving proactive outreach, and securing impactful coverage in trade and top-tier outlets.

  • Guide the creation of strategic content including press materials, messaging documents, executive communications, and bylined articles.

  • Provide creative input and strategic direction on campaigns, content, and media opportunities.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, industries, and competitors to anticipate needs and deliver forward-thinking ideas.

  • Write long-form content, including thought leadership articles, bylines, and executive communications

  • Manage client calendars, deadlines, and deliverables effectively

  • Understand the value of PR to your clients’ businesses and how to achieve valuable results across your clients’ programming

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in public relations or communications (agency experience preferred).

  • Experience managing client relationships and mentoring team members.

  • Expertise working with financial services and/or B2B clients.

  • Strong and reliable media relationships across relevant sectors.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A strategic, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills.

  • A proactive attitude, team-player mentality, and a great sense of humor

The anticipated salary range for this position, at the time of posting, is $75,000 – $100,000. The salary of the applicant selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, internal equity, geography, relevant years of experience, certifications, skills, abilities of the selected applicant, and other job-related qualifications. In addition, a range of medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available by the company.
