Brief Role Summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for the sale of laboratory products and services within the industrial segment in Northern and Central Netherlands. Maintaining effective customer relations, develop growth opportunities within an existing customer base, and ensuring market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic and tactical sales plan for your territory to achieve or exceed revenue and gross margin objectives.
  • Drive specific product sales, support supplier partnerships, and promote core products and services.
  • Increase regional service revenue by leading the sales process for service offerings.
  • Build and maintain an effective network within the organization to strengthen selling opportunities.
  • Improve selling time and delegate non-sales activities efficiently.
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships for business development.
  • Lead pricing within the territory to optimize profitability.
  • Maintain high business knowledge relevant to the region, including competitor activity.
  • Bring new solutions to customers to generate revenue from new products or services.
  • Collaborate with sales team members to provide the best customer experience.
  • Implement account strategies for Program Accounts as communicated by Key Account Managers.
  • Identify and meet customer requirements and business opportunities proactively.
  • Use SFDC and company tools to develop the territory plan and optimize coverage.
  • Complete personal administration tasks, including expenses and mileage capture.
  • Seek self-development opportunities using available training.
  • Use PPI principles to find better ways every day and run simple projects.

What will you need?

  • Sales experience, preferably in the research laboratory industry.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and the web, along with sales force software.
  • Strong industry, pharmaceutical, and science background preferred.
  • Full driver’s license and willingness to travel (up to 80% of the time).
  • Written and spoken Dutch and English skills.
  • Confident personality, able to engage effectively with customers in various settings.
