Account Manager
About your role:
As an Account Manager on the Merchant Services team at Fiserv, you will be the primary operational contact for mid‑market merchant clients, ensuring service continuity and driving client satisfaction. You will manage escalations, coordinate cross‑functional resources, and identify opportunities that improve operational efficiency and revenue retention.
What you’ll do:
- Manage a portfolio of mid‑market merchant clients, overseeing day‑to‑day operational relationships and ensuring contracted deliverables are met.
- Serve as primary point of contact for complex, urgent and escalated operational issues; coordinate internal teams to drive timely resolution.
- Identify and facilitate cross‑sell and upsell opportunities, working with Relationship Managers and sales channels to enable implementations and activations.
- Support pricing, reconciliation, add‑on locations, POS upgrades, and POS escalations both proactively and reactively.
- Monitor and analyze clients’ processing environments to recommend operational efficiencies and cost‑saving solutions.
- Create and maintain accurate client profiles, contract records, and communication logs.
- Provide client education, training, and onboarding support as required.
- Assist Relationship Managers with operational support needs for larger enterprise clients, including funding and reconciling inquiries.

Experience you’ll need to have:
- 2+ years of experience in merchant acquiring and payment processing platforms (authorization, settlement, chargebacks, funding, and merchant onboarding).
- 3+ years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Written and verbal proficiency in both English and French.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information systems, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in payment reconciliation and settlement systems, including FDPOS and exception handling.
- 2+ years of experience with enterprise operations platforms such as South Mainframe, Commerce Control Center, and Merchant Manager.
- Technical experience troubleshooting payment terminals, POS integrations, and merchant hardware/software issues.
- Background across banking, card processing, prepaid, and alternative payments.

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experience helps you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
- This role requires the use of a computer and audio equipment.
