Account Executive, Institutional Sales

ISS STOXX is seeking a dynamic Account Executive to drive revenue growth and deepen client relationships. This role focuses on selling ISS’ market-leading Governance Research and Voting (GRV) solutions to institutional investors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services sales, with a proven ability to expand existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling, while also identifying new account business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth across a defined territory in the Tri-State and East Coast regions, focusing on ISS’ Governance Research and Voting (GRV) solutions.
  • Expand and grow existing client relationships by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities within a portfolio of leading institutional investment firms.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities within current accounts and pursue net new logo opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Representatives to generate and qualify leads.
  • Develop strategic account plans to deepen client engagement and maximize long-term value.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to support complex sales engagements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking in Salesforce.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 6-10 years of experience selling in the financial services sector, with a strong focus on driving account growth, upselling, client retention, and new account generation.
  • Previous engagement with Corporate Governance or Responsible Investment preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to engage senior-level decision-makers and navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Advanced credentials (e.g., MA, CAIA, CFA) preferred. Salesforce proficiency is a plus.

Base salary: The New York City expected base pay range is $90,000 - $110,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and level of education.
