Job Objective:
As a member of an Asset Team, manages the daily operations of assigned oil and gas field(s) and supervises the technical and administrative personnel.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Manages and supervises operations to achieve established goals: efficiently deploys available resources; plans and organizes staff assignments and workloads; trains, motivates, and evaluates team members; and reviews progress and directs changes as needed.
 - Monitors daily production activities and well work reports to sustain maximum sales volumes.
 - Provides input in the development of short and long-range operations studies, reports, and recommendations.
 - Reviews, approves, and supervises procedures and cost estimates for well interventions, workovers, re-completions, and formation stimulations.
 - Prepares requests for proposals (RFPs), obtains bids, and coordinates contract equipment and personnel for the field operations.
 - Resolves operations problems identified by support groups to include drilling, environmental, safety, accounting and land departments.
 - Reviews and approves authorization for expenditures (AFEs).
 - Reviews and approves purchase orders (POs), invoices, and contracts related to operations.
 - Conducts daily operations meetings and monthly lift cost meetings which includes detailed discussions on all operation’s financial and production performance.
 - Frequently conducts field visits to evaluate operations and maintain a safe and environmentally sound workplace.
 - Reviews Lease Operating Statements (LOS) and resolves discrepancies.
 - Manages special projects as assigned by management.
 - Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
 - Supports company vision and mission.
 - Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
 
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises personnel and conducts employee performance evaluations.
 
- Assists with salary administration.
 - Assists with hiring and retention of personnel.
 - Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
 - Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
 - Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
 - Other duties as assigned by management.
 
Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years minimum oil and gas production field operations experience, prior Hilcorp experience is preferred
 - Successful track record managing complex assets
 - Proven results increasing production
 - Proven track record of developing people into key positions
 - Experience successfully developing challenged assets.

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s of Science Engineering Degree from an accredited four-year university or college.
