Job Description

Quality Control (QC) Microbiology ensures the safety and integrity of pharmaceutical products by performing critical testing & sampling such as bioburden, endotoxin, sterility, and environmental monitoring. The team supports manufacturing operations by managing the site’s contamination control strategy, monitoring cleanroom conditions, critical utility sampling/ testing and product in-process and final container testing and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Through robust microbial testing and data analysis, QC Microbiology plays a vital role in maintaining product quality and patient safety.

Job Requirements:

  • This position will be onsite at the Covington, GA (Social Circle) location

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology or a related scientific field.

  • Demonstrate understanding of basic microbiological /biology principles and aseptic techniques.

  • Familiarity with laboratory practices.

  • Ability to follow GMP and safety protocols in a regulated environment.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Interest in learning about pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality control.

Internship Eligibility 

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship  

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later  

  • The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st)   

  • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames   

  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates   

  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
